Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas 1997

Day 23 – Favorite animation

I couldn’t choose between The Emperor’s New Groove and The Road to El Dorado
and that isn’t even taking into account Up or Toy Story 3
This was a tough one :’(

Day 21 – Favorite action movie

Leon (1994)

Director
: Luc Besson
Starring: Natalie Portman, Gary Oldman, Jean Reno

Plot:
Professional assassin Leon reluctantly takes care of 12-year-old Mathilda, a neighbor whose parents are killed, and teaches her his trade.

- I don’t really like action films and i don’t know if this qualifies but there are guns and fights and bad guys so i thought that was good enough.

Day 20 – Favorite movie from your favorite actor/actress

Manic (2001)

Director: Jordan Melamed
Starring: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Zooey Deschanel, Michael Bacall

Plot:
Lyle Jensen is subject to sudden and violent outbursts, and he is committed to the juvenile wing of the Northwood Mental Institution

- My favourite actors are JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT, LEONARDO DICAPRIO and EZRA MILLER. As i am refusing to post the same film twice during this challenge it means that i couldn’t post my favourite JGL film: Mysterious Skin, either of my favourite Ezra films: We Need To Talk About Kevin, Another Happy Day OR my favourite Leo film/ favourite film of all time: The Basketball Diaries… So i have gone for my second favourite JGL film instead :)

Day 19 – Favorite movie based on a book/comic/etc.

Red Dragon (2002)
Book by: Thomas Harris

Director: Brett Ratner
Starring: Anthony Hopkins, Edward Norton, Ralph Fiennes

Plot: A retired FBI agent with psychological gifts is assigned to help track down “The Tooth Fairy”, a mysterious serial killer; aiding him is imprisoned criminal genius Hannibal “The Cannibal” Lecter.

- I’m not allowing myself to post the same film twice with this challenge by the way, so the fact i have already used We Need To Talk About Kevin and Mysterious Skin helped with this question.
Silence of the Lambs and Misery were also in the running for this one, really hard to choose but Red Dragon is my favourite of the Hannibal series so there you go.

Day 18 – A movie that you wish more people would’ve seen

Another Happy Day (2011)

Director: Sam Levinson
Starring: Ezra Miller, Kate Bosworth, Ellen Barkin

Plot: A wedding at her parents’ Annapolis estate hurls high-strung Lynn into the center of touchy family dynamics.

-Okay the reason more people need to see this is because IT NEEDS TO BE RELEASED IN ENGLAND FOR CHRIST’S SAKE! :’( but for all those who want to see it you can get a 10/10, virus-free download here (it’s where i got it from and it’s perfect)
But before anything else, for some stupid reason (probably due to idiotic morons who can’t handle a film that doesn’t have any intense action/ explosions/ a determined ending and disregard anything with a hint of realism or just plain and simple BAD TASTE) it has a really low IMDB rating so just don’t even consider that and if you are to take anything from that stupid site then read the reviews because they all do it more justice. Okay it is a very emotional film but the acting is out of this World, the script is incredible and i suppose the fact that it doesn’t give a concrete ending makes it unsatisfying for some but it’s my favourite film i have seen this year and one thing i have been told that i do have is good taste in films. Also i have since shown it to my family and they all loved it and my sister is stupidly fussy when it comes to films, so trust me on this and if you don’t like it then i’m gonna be the one doing the judging.
Also i won’t apologise for the Ezra fest in this post, any excuse y’know? And it’s hard to come by any gifs for it because it’s so unheard of.

Day 17 – A movie that disappointed you the most

Inception (2010)

Director: Christopher Nolan
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Ellen Page

Plot: In a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, a highly skilled thief is given a final chance at redemption which involves executing his toughest job to date: Inception.

-Don’t hate but words can’t explain my excitement for this film when i first heard about it. JGL and Leo are my two favourite actors and i love every film they have done alone so  i just couldn’t wait to see what kind of masterpiece they will come up with together and Inception just really didn’t do it for me :( I do plan on re-watching it and giving it another chance because i refuse to accept the disappointment but for now it is what it is i’m afraid :(

Day 16 – A movie that you used to love but now hate

Jumanji (1995)

Director: Joe Johnston
Starring: Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, Bonnie Hunt

Plot: When two kids play an old magic board-game they found, they release a man trapped for decades in it and a host of dangers that can only be stopped by finishing the game.

-Let me get this straight, i can never hate this film but i used to be properly obsessed with it and watched it every single day after school for weeks. I had the board game, i knew the script, i just LOVED it… And now because i have seen it so many times the thought of watching it again kind of fills me with dread haha
